I most enjoyed the Humanities class on days when we did work on worksheets and had relevant class discussions.
My attitude has been pretty good towards work. I have completed work requirements but I couldn’t say that I did them to the best of my ability.
My behaviour has been alright, although I have been quiet talkative lately.
My interim report in the subject should indicate that I need to work harder in class and put more detail into my work.
The hardest task I have had to complete has been the essay on why other Europeans didn’t settle in Australia.
My workbook is up to date and neat.
My greatest strength is completed the work on the wikispaces.
The two areas of my learning that I want to focus on improving are:

What is the most important thing that you have you learnt in Humanities in the past month? The most important thing that I have learnt in Humanities in the past month is that I need to listen and pay attention in class because talking distracts others and I don’t remember what we learnt either.
What did you do to help yourself learn? I trirf to listen in class and did my work at home.
What did you do that made it difficult for you to learn well? I associate myself with people who I talked a lot with, and I didn’t work the best that I could.
Who did you work with? Were these effective (good) working relationships? I worked with Shaeley, Yoana and Marc. I worked well with everyone that I associated myself with, but i could have worked better.
How is your progress towards meeting your goals for the semester? I didn’t achieve most of my goals this semester. I still have a long way to go.
MY GOALS My first goal for this semester is to complete my work on time. I need to get in the routine of doing my school work in class and at home. I believe that this will help me in life. To reach this goal, I am going to complete as much school work as I can in class time and complete the rest in my own time. My second goal for this semester is to improve on the standard of my work. This is something that I have never really paid attention too. I believe that it is necessary for my work to be of a high standard considering the class I am in. To achieve this I am going to take more time to make my work more detailed. My third goal for this semester is to concentrate in class instead of talking to my fellow students. I think this is one of the main problems that have impacted on my learning. To achieve this I am going to sit myself next to people I know I can work well with.

I learnt interesting and valuable information about the Economy in Me and My World this semester. I think that everything I learnt about was important for me to know just how the Economy works. As a consumer, it was interesting to learn about supply and demand. These ultimately affect how the economy works, along with scarcity. I now understand how the Economy works but I believe some aspects of the term ‘Consumer Sovereignty’ aren’t true.
If you were the teacher of this class, what is one immediate change you would make which would be an improvement?
I would have pushed the students harder so that the work would have been completed quicker. I also would have been more encouraging to the class and supportive, as well as explaining the task simpler so that all would understand what was expected to be done.
How do you measure personal success?
I feel good about myself when I set myself a goal and I reach it. Even when I don’t finish first, as long as I complete my work to the best of my ability, I feel satisfied.
Have you been successful in Me & My World this Semester? How do you know this or how do you make this judgement?
I believe that I have been successful in me and My World this semester. I set my goals and I reached most of my goals and I believe I completed my work to the best of my ability. However, there is always room for improvement.
How much time in this class is profitable (used for learning)? Explain.
I believe that at some times, I didn’t make good use of my class time. The fact that we worked in pairs meant that we needed to communicate with our partners which made class a little most destructive considering that me and my partner are close friends.
What is one word you would use to describe your class?
I would describe this class as unmotivated. I think this is due to not having a deadline which allowed many to think they had a long time to complete there work so they ended up slacking off.
What are your goals for Semester 2?
These are my goals for Semester 2: - I need to work harder in class and to achieve this I need to not sit with people who distract me. - I need to complete my work to a higher standard and to achieve this I need to proof read my work and spend more time on the detail of my work. - I need to complete all my homework to the best of my ability and more importantly complete it on time; to achieve this I have to make a study timetable and stick to it and I need to be more organised.

For my first goal, I believe this term I have let myself get distracted by people in my class which furthermore has affected my work standard. So for this I would rate my goal as a 3. For my third goal, I believe I have made productive progress to achieving it. However, I am going to make a study timetable to further improve this. So for this I would rate my progress as a 4.
How prepared do you feel you are to undertake a VCE subject next year?
I believe I am ready to complete a VCE subject next year and get a feel for what it is going to be like. I am going to work hard for the rest of this year and build stronger foundations. I believe that if I do continue to work at my standard and push myself to do better, I will achieve better results next year.

Yes I am currently on track with my Semester 2 goals. I have worked harder on making my work more detailed and to a better standard level. I believe that while focusing on my work more, I also gained a better understanding of the topics learnt.

Consumer Soveriengty, Working in groups and Joined Science and Me and My world advertising assignment.

I believe the double period we had in C18 was one of the best lessons. In that class, we got given a piece of paper with a number of objects written on it such as a pig, swords, skins ect. Then they class had time to trade there objects with other members of the class. This class by far was the most enjoyable.

Yeah, I am happy with the Homework habits I have developed. I believe I have become more punctual and more determined to do well next year which has given me that extra push to work harder.

I don't always do my best but I try my hardest most of the time. I believe that I contribute to class discussions frequently and complete any unfinished work at home.
